“I might need a hug at one or more of the rest stops!”
“High alpine fine!”
“You choose the bike. The Tushars will choose the rest”
“Very cool! I’ve ridden every inch of that course, and I gotta say bike choice is a puzzler

“Thanks for putting on this incredible race! It was so well organized and executed -
definitely one of the best that I’ve ever participated in, without a doubt! I can’t wait for next year
- we’ll spread the word out here and bring more Colorado guys next year!”
“Best race I’ve ever been part of hands down! It’s one thing to have a great vision, but another to
put it together so well. Burke and his crew really had it nailed down with no detail too small. Man
I wish it was yesterday again!”
“What a great race. Thanks putting on a phenomenally organized event.
Volunteers along the course were amazing and aid stations were crazy good. Even for us back of
packers – the stations were fully stocked and volunteers still eager to help. Very well done.”
“6 states/6 days/one Tushar/2 crushed dudes. Nicely done Tbird and many, many thanks to those
awesome volunteers. Still re-living every pedal stroke. Rapha Racing NW will be back next year
for more!”
“I just wanted to note that while I did not ask for any hugs at the aid stations, I did in fact receive
one at the finish. This race had the best volunteers I’ve ever seen!”
“Thanks, Burke! That was such a great race. On the last stretch of gravel road, I was getting a
little sad that it was almost over. I’ll be back next year!”
“The important and entertaining question of “which bike” gripped the field of racers like a plague. Racers debated the potential merits—and drawbacks—of cyclocross bikes, mountain bikes, and traditional road bikes. In the end, the start line was a tapestry of steel, carbon, aluminum, and rubber. Tires of every imaginable width and tread pattern were attached to frames of every imaginable design. Racers used rigid forks, suspension forks, flat bars, drop bars, mustache bars, cantilever brakes, v-brakes, and disc brakes. On the start line, everyone twitched nervously, wondering if they had made the right choice. “No matter what bike you’re on,” exclaimed race-day emcee Bruce Bilodeau, “At some point it will be the wrong one!”
This unique 69 mile course starts in quiet downtown Beaver, Utah and finishes at Utah’s newest ski resort, Eagle Point. The course features a nearly perfect 50/50 split between pavement and dirt fire-road sectors which allow riders to explore the stunning back country of Utah’s little-known Tushar Mountains and Fishlake National Forest.
